Our loose cover making service ensures that you have the best of everything - a wide selection of fabrics to match every decor scheme, a perfect fit, and no inconvenience sending furniture away.

Come along to the shop and browse through our extensive selection of quality upholstery fabrics. We have a wide range of textured plains, checks, stripes, patterns, weaves and finer type velvets and chenilles. If possible, please bring along a photo of your suite or furniture so that we can see exactly what's involved.

The recommended fabrics for loose covers have a minimum rub test of 15,000 and most are washable with the exception of pure linens.

We ensure that our tailor-made covers are a perfect fit on your furniture by bringing your chosen fabric to your home where it is cut and pinned directly onto the furniture; just as a dressmaker would make a dress on a dummy. The pinned covers are then returned to our workshop where they are made up with piping and fastenings.

All cushions are zipped and piped and any tired inners replaced with new feather, foam or hollow fibre (polyester).

The completed covers are then delivered and fitted. The whole process from ordering to delivery takes from 4 to 6 weeks.

We can also attend to any repairs required on the furniture.

Almost all types of furniture can be covered. One exception would be leather since a loose cover cannot grip the leather.

We also recover cushions for cane and wooden suites with the same attention to detail.

We can give you an estimate over the telephone. We have been making loose covers for nearly 40 years so have sound knowledge about the quantity of fabric and labour involved.

If you would prefer, we will also come to your home to look at your furniture. We offer sound advice and will bring along samples of fabrics for you to look at. We will advise on colour and type of fabric that would best suit your room/suite. However there is a greater selection of fabrics to see in the shop.
