Carole and Lionel Bryant established Bryant Furnishing from their family home in 1970. Making curtains from home suited Carole’s busy life whilst raising her young family. As the business grew, the next step was to buy a shop premises, which they did in 1978. Daughter Anne joined in 1997 and learnt every aspect of the business. Since then, Carole and Anne have enjoyed working together and building their business, successfully overcoming changes and challenges faced by a small company. Carole semi-retired in 2013 then, due to the Covid pandemic, decided that 2020 was the time to fully retire. Anne continues to run the business today.
2016 – Bryant Furnishing underwent a total re-brand and became Bryant Interior Furnishings. With a smart new look, updated store, company vans and website. The brand continues to be successful thanks to all the repeat business and recommendations by their loyal customers.
They are still based at the same premises that was purchased in 1978, however now, it is a private showroom, office and workroom. Due to the Covid pandemic, Anne decided to close the “shop” so that she can fully focus on her furnishing projects and keep the service purely on “an appointment only” basis offering her clients exclusive service and access to their comprehensive fabric and wallpaper library.

Carole is retired but still loves to make things for her friends in the workroom and at home and remains very much interested in the business. She has been and still is, a great business mentor to Anne.
